Erik Townsend (Macrovoices) interviews Dr Pippa Malmgren: Recorded 5th November 2024
Date: 10/11/2024
*** GENERAL AVICE ONLY***
Here’s a summary of Dr. Pippa Malmgren’s three main points in this interview:
- Cultural Shift Beyond Politics: Dr. Malmgren argues that the election represents not just a political change but a deeper cultural shift. She describes the outcome as a rejection of the traditional media and established political elite, signaling that the public no longer accepts the “old establishment” narrative. This shift involves more than a partisan divide; it’s a move toward transparency and accountability, especially with independent voices like Bobby Kennedy, who she believes helped catalyze a new approach that resonates across party lines.
- Old Establishment vs. New Anti-Establishment: Instead of a classic left-right divide, Malmgren frames the situation as a conflict between the “old establishment” (which values bureaucracy and the status quo) and the “new anti-establishment” (which pushes for reform and reduced bureaucracy). This anti-establishment group includes figures from technology and new media who want to reshape government practices through technology and transparency. Tech leaders like Elon Musk and Peter Thiel, aligned with Trump, envision government reforms, such as using AI to streamline operations and bring more clarity to governance.
- Potential for Transparency and Accountability: Malmgren suggests that with Trump’s reelection and figures like Kennedy on board, there could be new commissions and efforts for transparency, especially around sensitive historical issues like government accountability and potential abuses of power. She believes this shift might reveal hidden dynamics within the intelligence community and lead to a recalibration of power between the government, corporate interests, and the public. This potential transparency might foster a new sense of trust and reshape governance.
These points reflect her view of a profound societal transformation as new power structures challenge entrenched ones, especially with the support of technology and a push for openness in government.
TLDR
I’ve always enjoyed listening to Dr Pip Malmgren as she’s so bullish innovation.
Main trade I got from this profound interview (I keep saying profound as thats what I think about Trumps win) is to short Traditional Media and Big Pharma. PFE continues to slide lower and no one will want to be on that sinking ship
Another possible trade is to get long healthy food as RFK wants to MAHA. Wholefoods was bought by AMZN. So that is another reason why it should keep rallying
PFE chart doesnt look pretty, could possible buy some OTM puts as I think its going to crack the $25 level
AMZN chart trading at all time highs, yes its expensive but will probably get more expensive. The wholefoods narrative will probably pale in comparison to AWS and AI revenues but it wont hurt
